SQUAD, the rapidly growing cybersecurity group, is expanding into North America and launching its new subsidiary in Montreal.

Paris, March 17, 2021 – SQUAD, a European cybersecurity specialist (DevSecOps), is accelerating its international development and has chosen to establish its new subsidiary in Montreal to conquer the Canadian and North American markets.

Driven by its commitment to security and the quality of its technical expertise, SQUAD has chosen Quebec to support its long-standing clients in Canada and to participate in the current boom in the region's new technology sector. The firm works with large companies in various sectors, including defense, banking and insurance, telecommunications, and transportation.

"Following the successful launch of our activities in Australia, Quebec is a strategic choice that allows us to support our clients with a follow-the-sun approach thanks to our presence in the three major global markets: North America, Europe, and Asia-Pacific," emphasizes Antoine Hautin, Deputy CEO of SQUAD.

To support its growth, the consulting and expertise firm plans to recruit numerous experts in the coming months. Its goal is to strengthen its teams across all cybersecurity professions: ethical hackers, SOC analysts, engineers specializing in network and system security, security architects, and others. Since its inception, SQUAD has cultivated its appeal to attract the best talent to join them.

"Expertise and friendliness are at the very heart of our project. We stand out in our market thanks to the close relationship we have with our teams. We will apply the same formula that made us successful in France to Canada: putting our experts at the center of the machine," says Marc Brua, co-founder and CEO of SQUAD.

"Montreal's strategic positioning offers many advantages to European companies seeking to establish themselves in the North American market. Our team is working alongside SQUAD to ensure it has all the tools it needs to drive its growth and achieve its ambitious goals. Our technology ecosystem is strong, and cybersecurity players can be confident that they will find everything they need to develop and advance their ideas," said Hubert Bolduc, President of Investissement Québec International.

"I am delighted that Greater Montreal can serve as a bridge between Europe and Australia!" said Stéphane Paquet, President and CEO of Montreal International. “In fact, the region is increasingly becoming a must for companies looking to invest in cybersecurity, as it offers one of the world’s largest testing grounds for new solutions. This is due in part to Montréal’s expertise in artificial intelligence, a field closely linked to digital security, but also to its pool of specialized and highly skilled labour.”
