SQUAD will be participating in FIC2021 and looks forward to seeing you at Stand B30 with its entire team. A year ago, Maxence BOBIN was director of the Paris agency, and this year he has become Business Development Director with new challenges. What are Squad's ambitions? Why is it participating in FIC again? Find out in this interview!

Maxence, you were Director of the Paris office, and now you are Business Development Director. What are your new challenges?

My career at Squad is evolving along with the size of the organization and our new challenges!

Reaching the position offifth largest cybersecurity firm in France was a great first milestone.

The next stage of our adventure is now European, while strengthening our partnerships within the country.

I focus more specifically on our clients in the banking, finance, and insurance sectors. Nicolas Martinez, who joined the team this summer, deals with our clients in the defense and industrial sectors.

Together, we are rolling out a strengthened partnership strategy, particularly in supporting our clients in their cyber (and IT) transformation towards the widespread adoption of DevSecOps.

This year, Squad is returning to the FIC, this time with its own booth. What are its objectives?

Our presence at the FIC goes hand in hand with this change in scale for Squad. We have been involved through the "FIC breakfasts" during this period of "remote working."

We are delighted to be able to return in person! The goal is twofold: to continue to raise our profile among future consultants and clients, and to contribute to the development of cybersecurity in France and Europe.

The theme of the FIC will be "Towards cooperative and collaborative cybersecurity." In your opinion, are companies already managing to create synergy within their teams? How is Squad helping them in this process?

We already support our clients in this process of inter-team cybersecurity synergy. And they regularly thank us for often speeding things up, as our consultants work more quickly together than some internal teams due to organizational issues.

But the real issue raised by this year's FIC theme is collaboration between companies, between states, and between states and companies.

And on these issues, there is still a long way to go. We all have a role to play in improving global cybersecurity through sharing (knowledge, experience, resources), and what better place than the FIC to do so!

You will also be present at the Campus Cyber booth, as Squad is an associate member. Why was Squad's presence at the Campus a no-brainer?

In line with what I was just saying, the Cyber Campus is an excellent government-business initiative aimed at achieving shared, virtuous cybersecurity.

It was therefore only natural that we should be among the founding members. Antoine (Deputy CEO of Squad) and I have been involved in the campus Working Groups since their inception.

We look forward to seeing you at our booth 😉
