Once again this year, Squad participated in the International Cybersecurity Forum held in Lille on September 7, 8, and 9.
For the 2021 edition, the FICfocused on "collective and collaborative cybersecurity": how can we facilitate information sharing? How can we create more synergy between cybersecurity stakeholders?
An event eagerly awaited by Squad!
Several hundred visitors (professionals, students, candidates, clients) came to visit us at our booth during the three days of the forum. It was an opportunity for the fifteen or so Squad members who participated to rediscover the joy of trade shows and interacting with candidates and our clients.
This year's FIC 2021 was a huge success and super intense. Our customers, candidates, and partners were all there, so we came back from Lille with the beginnings of new partnerships with key cyber security providers and the promise to grow our skills and services, helping us make it easier for our customers to adopt these solutions.

Challenges Squad

More than fifty people took part in a prize draw we organized, with our mascot as the prize! We asked an impartial person to draw the winner's name. In the end, it was Yann F., a cybersecurity engineer, who won, and who went home with a giant panda soft toy.

Because we love challenges at Squad, we offered our visitors a CTF challenge, prepared by us. Congratulations to Nathan P., a student at ESNA in Brittany, who took up the challenge and won the maximum number of points and therefore the prize!
VIP Squad Evening

As last year, Squad invited its clients, partners, candidates, and the team present at the FIC to an exclusive evening at Mama Shelter. It was an opportunity to chat and share a moment in a relaxed setting. Mini challenges were hosted by Squad members: lock picking, retro gaming, a cybersecurity burger quiz, an origami contest, and more.
For the occasion, we personally delivered a Golden Ticket, sealed in an envelope.

Lecture by Baka D.
Our consultant Baka D. represented CEFCYS, of which she is a member, and gave a presentation at CoRIIN to highlight the importance of "Security by Design" during the incident response phase.

She reminds us that we must always remain vigilant, even after an attack. Hackers may have discovered another security flaw and renew their attack.
SQUAD x EFREI

During the event, the FIC organized the first EUROPEAN CYBER CUP, the first competition dedicated to ethical hacking, in which the Overfowl team from EFREI Paris participated. Squad, sponsor of the Infrastructure & Software major, visited the competition venue to cheer them on and shower them with pandas!
This partnership also focuses on sharing experiences, and we took advantage of the FIC to highlight Quentin's career path. In this interview with EFREI, he shows that there are several paths to becoming a cybersecurity expert and gives his first piece of advice to students: be curious!
Squad found a mission that was a good fit for what I wanted to do. And that's why I'm thriving today. I'm having fun.
