Squad announces the signing of a partnership with CEFCYS, whose mission is to promote and advance the presence and leadership of women in cybersecurity professions.

Squad is proud to support CEFCYS and contribute to promoting women's roles in cybersecurity professions, where they remain underrepresented. Through this partnership, Squad is committed to making a lasting contribution to addressing current challenges in gender diversity.

Only 11% of women hold positions in cybersecurity in France (source: Forbes), despite high demand and numerous opportunities. In 2021, there were 3.5 million unfilled cybersecurity positions worldwide (source: Cybersecurity Ventures). In light of this, CEFCYS and Squad intend to contribute to increasing gender diversity in this sector.

"Diversity and inclusion in the IT sector, and more specifically in cybersecurity, are pressing challenges. Alongside CEFCYS, Squad intends to step up its efforts to promote gender equality after signing a company agreement on this issue in 2021. Our actions with CEFCYS will enable us to go beyond our corporate policy and culture, because the challenge is also to create more vocations by showing women that great career opportunities await them in our sector, which is still too male-dominated."

Eric Guillerm, President and co-founder of SQUAD

At Squad, professional equality between women and men is a reality, as evidenced by the company's high score on the Égapro Index: while the national average for companies of this size was 82/100 in 2019-2020, Squad scored 94/100, and maintains this score in 2020-2021, while the digital services sector scores 89/100. Aware that only 2% of French companies achieve a score of 100%, management affirms that this is the goal the company must strive for, a benchmark that must guide Squad's development, despite the external difficulties that weigh on this ambition.

This partnership reflects a desire to actively participate in improving the attractiveness of the cybersecurity sector and ensuring that women are more valued. It will enable Squad to develop joint awareness-raising initiatives with CEFCYS, including webinars, masterclasses, exclusive events, and mentoring.

"I am very pleased to formalize our partnership with Squad today on behalf of CEFCYS. Having one of the major players in cybersecurity commit to working alongside us is another step toward equal representation of women in cybersecurity. We look forward to welcoming future members who are eager to contribute to this cause."

Nacira Guerroudji-Salvan, Founding President of CEFCYS.
