By appointing Sonia Skander as Chief Human Resources Officer, the Squad Group is making a clear strategic choice: to place the employee experience and social responsibility on the same level of priority as its technical expertise.

The Squad Group announces the appointment of Sonia Skander as Director of Human Resources, with an expanded scope of responsibility: labor relations, personnel administration, employee experience, training and skill development, CSR, and disability initiatives. She will report directly to Éric Guillerm, President and co-founder of the Group.
This appointment comes less than a year after she joined the Group in April 2025, when she joined the labor relations department.

A firm belief: in the digital sector, human capital is a strategic asset

With over 900 employees and sustained growth, the Squad Group operates in an industry where skills quickly become obsolete, where certifications make all the difference in a bid, and where retaining top talent is just as difficult as recruiting it.
In this context, the HR department is a key driver of performance in its own right.

This is precisely what Sonia Skander has built throughout her career: an HR vision rooted in operational realities and forged in rapidly changing environments. As a labor relations lawyer at Devoteam for five years, she developed a solid grasp of collective bargaining and labor relations. She then took on the role of head of labor relations at Aldebaran, a pioneer in humanoid robotics, before joining Ubisoft, where she expanded her scope to the intersection of labor relations and employee experience within a rapidly evolving international group. This dual foundation—combining legal rigor with a human touch—is precisely what the Squad Group was looking for.

The Squad Xperience: Building Relationships as a Key Differentiator

Sonia Skander is taking over the Squad Xperience, the team that embodies the Group’s distinctive human resources strategy on a daily basis. Her role covers the entire employee lifecycle: onboarding, performance management, training, certifications, and offboarding. But beyond these responsibilities, Squad Xperience is first and foremost a local point of contact—a team that knows the employees, understands their ambitions, and works with them to develop skill-building plans aligned with both their aspirations and client needs.

In an industry where expertise is built over time, this proximity is not a luxury. It is a competitive advantage.

CSR and Inclusion: Commitments That Need to Be Managed

Sonia Skander is also taking the lead on the Group’s CSR strategy, with a particular focus on Squad’s disability initiative. Here again, the goal is not merely to declare intentions but to build a concrete inclusion policy, ensure a high-quality work environment for everyone, and make the Squad Group an organization where diversity is a given.

“In cybersecurity, success depends first and foremost on the men and women who bring the expertise to the table. Sonia brings what is hardest to find: a commitment to execution that never sacrifices vision. I trust her to build an organization that lives up to our ambitions.” Éric Guillerm, President and Co-founder of Squad Group

“Cybersecurity is a field that doesn’t tolerate complacency—neither on the technical side nor on the human side. What we’re building here is an organization where every employee has the means to grow, earn certifications, and receive support. And where social responsibility isn’t an afterthought to our strategy but an integral part of it. ” Sonia Skander, HR Director of the Squad Group.

Squad in 2025: An organization that grows without losing its identity

This appointment is part of a broader strategy. In 2024, the Squad Group successively acquired Newlode, an IT integrator and MSSP that has since become Squad Cybersolutions, and Scassi, a specialist in cybersecurity for critical systems, OT, IoT, and embedded systems. By expanding its range of expertise and workforce through external growth, Squad is keenly addressing the issue of coherence: how to integrate new entities with distinct cultures and business lines, onboard new employees, and harmonize without standardizing? By establishing an integrated HR function that combines labor relations, personnel administration, employee experience, and corporate social responsibility, the Group provides a concrete answer to this question.
The challenge is not merely to attract talent. It is to help them grow, to retain them over the long term, and to make Squad’s culture as tangible an asset as its technical expertise.
